Fees and Payments
We understand that going to therapy is a big investment-- of time, energy, self, and of course, money. It can be hard to make the choice to make this investment in yourself, particularly in a cultural context that often sends the message that you should be able to "figure it out by yourself." The truth is, we ALL need support, and investing in one's self through therapy can be one of the most important and life affirming choices one can make. We applaud you for making the choice to invest in you and in living your best life. We are grateful that you are considering us to support you in that journey, and we sincerely hope we can help.
At Resonant Relationships, fees range based on level of education and experience:
Fees for a standard 50 minute sessions:
- $160 per session for a PhD-level licensed clinician
- $ 140 per session for a masters-level licensed clinician
- $ 120 per session for a masters-level clinician under supervision
- $ 80 per session for a bachelors-level clinician under supervision
* Add $40 to the above rates for extended 80 minute sessions
**Many of our therapists also offer limited reduced rate appointments. If you have concerns about paying for therapy, talk to your preferred therapist about the possibility of sliding scale fees.
**Resonant Relationships also offers a scholarship to Black folx with financial barriers to mental health therapy. While we don't have a lot of money in the fund yet, we are happy to use what we have to support who we can. If you are interested in this scholarship fund to help you pay for therapy, please contact us at email@example.com. (If you are awarded this scholarship, you are not obligated to see one of our therapists, but are free to choose whomever is right for you).

As a courtesy to our clients, Resonant Relationships submits insurance claims for any company with whom we are in-network. If we do not participate with your insurance plan, payment in full is expected at the time of service. You are responsible for knowing your plan benefits and fees, and co-pays are due at time of service. We are unable to bill insurance for any late cancellations or no-shows, and you are responsible for those fees. Please let us know immediately of any changes to your insurance, contact, or payment information.
If we are billing insurance, we are required to provide a clinical diagnosis and may be asked to provide additional clinical information, such as treatment plans or copies of your clinical record. In such situations, we will make every effort to release only the minimum information about you that is necessary for the purpose requested. You always have the right to pay for our services out of pocket to avoid your information being released.
- Premera: Many of our clinicians are in-network with Premera
- Lifewise: Many of our clinicians are in-network with Lifewise
- Regence and First Choice: Only Stephanie accepts these insurance providers at this time
- Out of Network benefits: It may be possible to bill your insurance for out of network benefits. Please contact our administrative team at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about this possibility.
Also, check out this blog post this blog post for a great discussion of how and why to use out of network benefits. (Blog by Maggie Jordan of Zencare)
You can find more details about insurance billing on each of our clinician's full profile page. For questions about billing insurance, contact email@example.com.
Payments are due at the time of services-- that is before or at the end of each session. RR clinicians accept cash, check, and credit card. Check payments should be made out to Resonant Relationships, PLLC. For questions about copays, co-insurance, or deductibles, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Please provide 24 hours’ notice of cancellation directly to your clinician by phone or email. Please do not call the office to reschedule or cancel. Instead, contact your clinician directly by phone or email. If you do not give your clinician at least 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged for the full amount of the session.
Letters, Reports & Off-Site Appearances
The fee for any letter needed on your behalf, such as a letter of recommendation for medical transition or for an emotional support animal, is $50. This fee is in addition to any session fees also incurred in order to write a letter.
If you would like a copy of your records, we charge a $30 administrative fee plus $50 per hour after the first hour, should providing your records require additional administrative time.
The fee for any work on your case outside the regular course of treatment is $100 per hour. This includes writing a report, submitting a letter for court, and making recommendations to your school or workplace. This work will only be done after you specifically request it and after you and your clinician agree on how long the task will take.
If you need your therapist to attend a school appointment, special education review meeting, or provide student advocacy, the fee is your therapist’s normal session fee plus $60 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours, nonrefundable and paid in advance. The meeting must be scheduled at least one week in advance and the fee must be paid in full at least 48 hours before the meeting. Insurance does not cover these charges.
If you need your therapist to appear in court, the fee is double your therapist’s normal session fee with a minimum of 4 hours, non-refundable and paid in advance. The court appearance must be scheduled two weeks in advance and the fee must be paid in full at least 96 hours prior. Insurance does not cover these charges. Usually clients find it easier to request a letter to court with information relevant to the case.
